Yes—since our wedding is in Costa Rica, all guests will need a valid passport to travel. Be sure your passport is up to date well before your departure date! If you don’t already have a passport, you’ll need to apply for one through your country’s passport office. You can apply at a local post office, courthouse, or passport agency. You’ll need proof of citizenship (like a birth certificate), a government-issued photo ID, a passport photo, and the applicable fee. We recommend starting the application as early as possible, as processing can take several weeks. Expedited options are available if you’re short on time. For the most up-to-date information and forms, visit the official government passport website: https://travel.state.gov
Yes! We will provide transportation on Thursday, May 20th, for the two available flight options through American Airlines. Group shuttle services will be available to transport guests from the airport to the resort on this date. When booking your flights, we recommend choosing options that arrive within the suggested travel window (details to come) so you can easily coordinate with the shuttle.
Yes! We’ve reserved a block of rooms at W Costa Rica - Reserva Conchal for our guests. Booking within the block ensures you receive the discounted group rate and are close to all wedding events. Rooms are approximately $378 per night, plus the resort fee.
Yes! If you choose, there is an all-inclusive package for your stay. It is an additional $233 per person, per day. If choosing all-inclusive, all individuals staying in the same room must choose the all-inclusive option.
Our resort operates primarily as a cashless property for most purchases. While credit/debit cards will be required for expenses like meals, drinks, and other services, small amounts of cash can still be helpful during your stay. U.S. dollars are widely accepted for gratuities, and we highly recommend bringing small bills if you’d like to tip the wonderful staff who help make your experience special—such as those setting up beach chairs and umbrellas, assisting with luggage, etc. For larger transactions (restaurants, bars, spa services, etc.), payment will need to be made by card or in the local currency, the Costa Rican colón. As a general reference, the current exchange rate is approximately: 1 USD ≈ 450 Costa Rican colónes (rates may fluctuate slightly)
Yes! The beach is only a short stroll from the resort; however, golf carts will be running to provide convenient rides from the beach back to the main resort. If you prefer, there’s also a beautiful walking path with stunning views, and you might even spot some local monkeys along the way. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride—or the walk!
Yes! Welcome Reception – Resort Casual: Dress comfortably yet polished for our tropical welcome reception! Guests may wear sundresses, skirts, dressy tops, or lightweight pants. Breathable fabrics like linen or cotton are recommended. Bright colors, fun patterns, and playful prints are encouraged to match the festive, tropical vibe. Ceremony – Beach Formal: Our ceremony will be held on the beach, and attire is beach formal.
