We matched on Hinge and started to hit it off. After a a couple weeks of talking, we decided to go on our first date to Space Aliens in Fargo. We learned we shared interests of many things, but also had similar life goals. Taylor noticed Alex's humor and authenticity right away, while Alex appreciated Taylor's passion and dreams. After Space Aliens, we continued texting and going on dates and getting to know each other better. Alex (finally) made it official on June 9, 2022 after we spent the evening attending Rib Fest and a RedHawks game.

Iceland has always been a dream for Taylor to visit, while Alex has always wanted to see Ireland... we decided why not do both?! We started in Iceland, and were immediately in awe of the beautiful nature surrounding us. On our first full day, we went on a road trip around the Golden Circle, which has many waterfalls, geysirs, and tetonic plates... In planning our trip, we saw a waterfall off of the typical beaten path with bright blue water, and knew we HAD to see it in person. Once we got to Bruarfoss, we had about a ten minute walk to the falls. There were very few people there, so we got to take in the beauty. Alex then asked an older couple who spoke minimal English to take our picture... they happily agreed. They took the first picture, then Alex waved his hand saying, "1 more please?" Alex then got down on his knee and proposed! We really enjoyed the day in our "engagement bubble" and did not tell anyone until we got back to the hotel for the evening- only telling our parents. We got to stay in our "bubble" until we were boarding our plane home and really soak up our time as fiances.
