Our Story

Caige and Klemson met at Reicher Catholic High School in Waco, Texas, their freshman year. They shared their fist kiss at the movies. After only dating for about a month, Caige decided to end things using their Bible that they shared together for Theology class. He said, "I think we should just be friends...but you can still use my Bible." Caige will never live this down for the rest of his life. Junior year in high school, Klemson and Caige found their way back to each other after sharing a kiss in the "Red Monster" (Caige's car). The rest is history. Caige carved a pumpkin for Klemson to ask her to homecoming while Klemson decorated Caige's room to ask him to Corrigan. Caige helped Lille (Klemson's grandmother) build a gate for her backyard and that's when Klemson knew she was going to marry Caige one day. They both attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford, Oklahoma. Klemson played volleyball and Caige studied Chemistry. Caige continued his academic career by going to Pharmacy School in Tennessee while Klemson stayed in Oklahoma to get a master's degree in Art Education. After four years of long distance and eight years of dating, Caige finally decided to propose at the most magical place on earth--Walt Disney World.

The Proposal

From Klemson's Point of View

"Caige and I decided to take a trip in the one month we got to spend time with each other before Caige had to work his rotations for pharmacy school. Somehow, while we were discussing different places to go, Disney World came up and off we went. The first romantic thing Caige did was drive through Hurricane Elsa just to get us to Disney. My prince! We spent four days at Disney while hitting every park, eating the snacks, and riding all of the rides. Caige claims I killed him most days but I will deny it every time. On our last day, Caige insisted he carry my pink backpack (if you know Caige, he would never carry a pink backpack). We hit the Magic Kingdom early and rode Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. After, Caige insisted we go to Starbucks and get some breakfast. I of course followed because he was paying. He then said he needed to stop and use the bathroom where he definitely moved the ring from the ring box to his pocket. After our bathroom break, we decided to take a photo on Main Street, USA. Caige got down on one knee and I don't remember saying yes because I instantly went into hysterical mode as Tinker Bell rode on a float behind us. I will never forget seeing his sweet smile ask me the words I waited to hear since we were seventeen. He bought me the ring of my dreams and he'll forever be my prince!"
