Covid Change of Plans: *ceremony moved to Seven Oaks and start time is 3:30pm instead of 2:00pm!!

In April of 2018 Ashley was getting ready to graduate college and was applying to teaching and coaching jobs. Ashley decided to take a softball coaching job closer to home, so she could live with her parents while she continued to search for a teaching job. Ashley was the junior high and assistant varsity softball coach at Tripoli Community Schools. Meanwhile, Kyle had recently moved back to Sumner, Iowa after living in San Diego for almost 2 years. Kyle had always had a passion for coaching baseball and he realized that his next big adventure was going to be to take over a baseball program. Lucky for Ashley, he was named the head baseball coach at Tripoli Community Schools. Fast forward to a pre-season open gym. Both the baseball and softball teams were preparing for their upcoming seasons in the high school gym. Ashley was working with some players who were hitting off tees and Kyle was working with his pitching staff. The next thing that happened was the beginning of something special. One of the softball players hit a ball of the tee and it began to roll to the baseball side of the gym. Ashley chased the ball until it landed right in front of another person's feet. Kyle picked the ball up and tossed it back to Ashley. The two introduced themselves and hit it off from the very beginning. Ashley even went home that night and told her roommate that she met her future husband. Baseball and softball season quickly rolled around and the two spent a lot of time together, both taking turns flirting with each other and both were looking for ways to grab the other's attention. Eventually the baseball and softball players caught on and started putting more pressure on the coaches. One night after an away game, the players unloaded the bus and drove away. Ashley was putting her stuff in her car when she heard Kyle yell, "Hey! are you thirsty?" from across the parking lot. Kyle immediately regretted his word choices, but obviously it must have worked out in his favor.

The two continued to get to know each other and go on dates throughout the season. Unfortunately, Ashley was offered a perfect job and ended up moving 2 hours away from Kyle to Ames, Iowa. The two decided they were not ready for their summer fling to be over yet. They agreed they were going to try the distance relationship until it didn't make sense anymore. The long distance relationship was the hardest, yet easiest relationship either of the two had ever been apart of. Everything always felt right, everything always made sense.

In July of 2019, Kyle was promoted through his job at Liquid Glass in Sumner, Iowa. He accepted a sales position with True Pitch Inc in Altoona, Iowa. (Again, lucky Ashley). Kyle and Ashley moved in together in Ames, Iowa. After doing distance for a year, the two were nervous yet excited for the next step. Just like the rest of their relationship, everything always felt right, everything always made sense.

On October 8th of 2019, in the most Kyle way possible, Kyle asked Ashley to marry him. The couple was used to waking up at 5am to workout every morning. That specific morning, Ashley did not want to wake up. Kyle on the other hand was wide awake and eventually convinced Ashley to get out of bed. Ashley Eventually went to get the pre-workout out of the kitchen cabinet. There she found a box with a note inside. The note said, "Do you want to be my workout partner for the rest of your life? Do you want to wake up beside me every morning? Do you want to rap to me on every road trip? Because I DO." At this point, Ashley realized what was happening and she went and found Kyle to seal the deal. So there they were at 5am, in their pajamas, getting engaged and Ashley wouldn't have it any other way.
