Shelby is Katelyn’s favorite younger sister (her only sister actually). She is a Serologist and DNA analyst at the Hamilton County Coroner’s Office. She earned her bachelor’s degree in forensic science from EKU and will graduate in May of this year with her master’s in Serology and DNA Analysis from the University of Florida. On her days off she enjoys reading nonfiction books while enjoying an overpriced latte, playing with her puppy Rain, watching YouTube videos with her fiancé Jesse, and working as a server for Katelyn’s catering company (don’t worry, this scientist does none of the cooking!) Shelby is getting married in September and has enjoyed sharing the wedding planning fun with her sister. She is beyond excited to celebrate Kevin and Katelyn coming together as husband and wife.
Ben Lause
Best Man
Ben was born in Indianapolis but moved to Cincinnati when I was 6 or 7 and been here ever since. After high school he went to Centre college to play baseball. After graduation, he flew to Germany to work and travel for 13 months. During that time there I fell in love with German beer and when he got home started brewing his own. This led to him to eventually landing a job with MadTree, where he has been for the last 3 years. Ben met Kevin when were kids and they bonded over video games and other young boy hobbies. It felt like if Kevin wasn’t at Ben's house for the weekend, Ben was at his. After falling out of touch for a bit, the two picked back up like no time had passed! Ben recently helped Kevin finish his kegerator project and thinks next they are going to brew their own beer!
