Through sharing rooms in Ireland on family vacation to sharing first date stories, Kaitlin has become an inspiring and dear friend to Shannon. Not only did she insist that Shannon give this guy Alex a shot when he reached out on Hinge, but she proceeded to ensure her safety by tracking Shannon on the first date (per Shannon's request). It's a good thing Alex was as trustworthy as he seemed!

As Shannon's oldest sibling, by 5 minutes, Heather is always the one to check-in with the family. She ensures everyone's safety and well-being and was very helpful encouraging Shannon to continue the patient pursuit of a Godly man. Her bubbly, others-focused personality not only makes her a great mother of two, but a fantastic sister.

Erin has been Shannon's go-to partner all growing up. From the sibling sand castle competitions to entering the world of engineering, Erin continues to support and guide Shannon in things big and small. Erin continues to pursue discovery, fun, and God in all she does and leads not only her family in the same way, but also her little sister.

As Alex's younger sister, Lindsey plays a very important role in his life and now Shannon's. Her passion for all things animals and nature with a no-fear approach to learning is inspiring. The first time she met Shannon, not only was Lindsey willing to share some silly stories of Alex growing up, but she also talked about pursuing dreams for her family, demonstrating both her humor and sincerity. Shannon is excited to be adding a spunky and passionate sister-in-law to her family!

Who knew a little house in Arlington would bring such a valued friend to Shannon's life? Connie is the type of friend who always speaks life into you and leaves you feeling confident and loved. Between spontaneous dancing around the house and conquering long hikes, Connie and Shannon have spent many nights praying over each other and discussing some of the deep topics of life and God. She continues to be a powerful, encouraging friend and will surely tear up the dance floor at the wedding.

Brandon has been a friend of Alex since 2005 when Alex was a sophomore in high school. Growing up together they shared many experiences including being sound technicians and moving to California for a period of their lives. Brandon now lives in North Carolina with his wife and two daughters.
