Chris and Elyse met in 2017, in a parking lot while working at a renaissance festival in Florida. Elyse was with her show mate packing the car and Chris walked up to them, said "I don't mean to alarm you, but do you think I need to go to the hospital?" and proceeded to show a horrendous spider bite on his upper arm. Yes, yes he did. Now, at the time they were both in other relationships, and though they saw each other occasionally when performing at the same shows, never really talked much after that. Years later, Elyse was bored one day, remembered this encounter, and messaged Chris to ask if that had in fact been him, and how it had gone. This was in early 2022. Not a single day passed from then on that they didn't talk. In April of 2022, Elyse flew from Tampa to the Sherwood Forest Faire in Texas to visit Chris, and to see if the connection they felt via text was as good in real life. Safe to say, it was even better. Two weeks later, Elyse was quitting her job, packing her life into a tiny car, and driving back to Texas to start a new life. Since then, they have traveled the country together, added a dog to their family, and purchased their home. This wedding, this day of official paperwork and fancy food, is the end to the "how we got here" story. The "rest of our lives" chapters are just beginning.
