We're getting married!

Picture it: Grand Rapids, 2019. Sara first noticed Elijah on the Davenport University hockey roster (let's just say he made an impression!). However, it wasn't until a year later that Elijah spotted Sara at the Student Center. It seems the impression was mutual! A simple message later that day wasn't exactly a love poem, but it was enough to ignite something truly special. From that day forward, their connection blossomed from shared laughter to shared dreams. On February 4, 2021, their story officially became a love story. If you ask Elijah, he will tell you it was love at first sight; he knew almost immediately that Sara was the one. Their love story unfolded, creating a home filled with the purrs and playful antics of their four cats. On a beautiful spring day, two years later—April 8, 2023—with the sun glistening off Lake Michigan, Elijah led Sara to the iconic Muskegon South Pierhead Light. It was there that he asked her to spend forever with him. As they began to plan their life together, they embarked on a shared journey of faith, hope, and love.
