We're Getting Married!

Lauren and Zach met online in the spring of 2016, and they reconnected in the fall of 2017 at Colorado State University. On their first date, they quickly bonded over their love for the outdoors, fishing and chocolate chip cookies. By their third date, Lauren was smitten when Zach took Lauren ice-fishing.

After dinner to celebrate being together for a year and a half, Zach suggested they drive up to Horsetooth Reservoir to go fishing. After casting several times, Zach asked Lauren to look at the new fishing lures he had recently purchased. He pulled a clear tackle box out of his backpack while down on one knee and surprised Lauren by placing an engagement ring in one of the tackle box compartments. Lauren was so surprised by the sparkly ring that she forgot to answer Zach. After a few happy tears were shed, she did finally answer with an enthusiastic "YES!".
