After the hardest couple years of her life caring for her terminally-ill father, losing a parent, enduring family litigation, and going through a divorce, Kat lost her home in January 2025 from the LA wildfires. This was her new home that represented a fresh start, independence, stability and a safe haven. Now, she is being tested again, writing a new chapter in her phoenix-rising-from-the-ashes story. While she is starting from scratch, she does not want her narrative to be one of loss or being broken. Instead, she is finding the light.
