Jackson Square Cathedral
Iconic St. Louis Cathedral and Andrew Jackson monument. The Louisiana Purchase was signed in the Cabildo (building to the left of the cathedral) in 1803.
Mardi Gras World
Visit Mardi Gras World to learn the history of Mardi Gras and see artists working on the Krewe of Orpheus floats. Tours are $22 for adults and they offer a free shuttle from multiple locations.
New Orleans Oyster Festival
Held at Woldenburg Park the first weekend in June. Food from local restaurants and live local bands.

The National WWII Museum
Exhibits covering WWII life and history on the home front, the European Theater, the Pacific Theater, D-Day, Merchant Marines, and restored war planes. Highly recommend visiting if you have time.

Incredible sandwich shop. It lives up to all the accolades it has received. Recommend getting the deviled eggs with fried chicken skins, fried pot pie, and the lamb neck roti.
