Frank and Kiyona attended Chichester middle and high school together. However, they did not become friends until about junior year when Kiyona and her sister Kiara harassed Frank in Mr.Milnes’s homeroom. They talked & joked with him and it was no doubt that Frank was annoyed by how often he had to take his earbuds out to hear them. Soon enough, the group ended up sharing a gym class and a lunch period. Then they, along with 3 other classmates, became thick as thieves. Kiyona & Frank grew closer and closer though. Then covid hit… There was no more in person school for the rest of the school year. It was rough no longer being able to see the friends you once seen daily. However, Kiyona and Frank kept in contact, always snapchatting one another. Due to covid, Sr. prom was postponed until the end of July. When July came around Frank posted on his Snapchat story that he was looking for a prom date and Kiyona jumped at the opportunity! She swiped up on his story and said “I will!”. & it was decided! The two were going to prom together. Kiyona and Frank continued to chat and eventually met up in person to get Frank a tie that would match Kiyona’s prom dress. Unfortunately, the store Frank had in mind was closed. So Kiyona and Frank decided to grab some Wendy’s and hang out at his family’s place watching NFL highlights. There Kiyona met Frank’s lovely dogs Stella & Bianca as well as Frank’s father, Frank. After that day Kiyona and Frank looked for any excuse to hang out with one another. On the night of July 16, 2020 Frank admitted over snapchat “I’ve liked you since high school” and Kiyona responded that she felt the same. Frank then said, “Maybe we can be something down the line.” to which Kiyona responded “Why not now?” and just like that, Kiyona & Frank began their relationship. Almost 5 years later, Frank is Lead Pharmacy Tech and Kiyona is a Juvenile Probation Officer. They have grown significantly in their faith together and have built their relationship on the principles of the Kingdom of God. The two serve and worship together and share a great love for things of the Lord. After a lot of growth (personally and together) on August 25, 2024 Frank asked Kiyona to marry him…and here we are.
