Maid of Honor
Sydney and I have been best friends since the day we met, over 20 years ago. Growing up down the street from one another was one of the biggest blessings in my life, I loved having a built in best friend just a couple houses away. Sydney and I always dreamed of our wedding days, and now I have the honor of having her as my maid of honor and her first son as one of our ringbearers!
Best Man
Cassidy has been there from the very beginning. A great teacher showing some kid how to be an EMT to becoming someone I consider a close friend. Cassidy is the reason I am with Kiyah today after constant nudging to ask her out when we would see her in the ER. Cassidy has stood by me in the toughest of times at work and in my personal life being anything he is needed to be from voice of reason to a guiding light or just offering some of the famous dark humor EMS is known for to lighten up everyones day. I am deeply grateful for his friendship.
Bridesmaid
Carrie and I are cousins, and we grew up going to church together, having summers together, and causing chaos at family events together. I am so grateful for all her support during wedding planning, decorating, and all the craziness that we put into our big day!
Groomsman
Steven is the brother-in-law no one saw coming. Coming from Indiana for a simple youth internship at Boyd Avenue was the start of a life long relationship with my sister and the start of a friendship for the rest of the family. Always valued for his strong relationship with Jesus and his occasionally funny hick humor I can't imagine my life without him.
Bridesmaid
Ashley, or Lashley as we all call her, was my first friend I made once starting my career as a nurse in the emergency department. From day one Ashley stood by my side, didn't let anyone say or do anything rude towards me, and has been a diehard friend ever since. I have had the pleasure of getting to know her daughter as well, and Brantley is the leader of our Ringbearers. Sometimes friendships that come later in life become just as strong as the friends you have had forever.
Groomsman
Zach is the brother I didn't get the choice to have but would constantly choose to have everyday if given the choice. We haven't always been the closest growing up but in adulthood we always manage to have a great time talking about nothing or bonding over the nerdy stuff and board games. Zach is one I know I can rely on and will always be happy to call him my brother.
Bridesmaid
Gwyn is another one of my younger cousins, and gosh can I remember going to the hospital and holding her for the first time. I was Gwyn's babysitter when she was little, and I cannot believe what an amazing young woman she has become. Since the day she met Austin, not a day went by without her bugging him about proposing so once he did propose, she got to be a part of the big surprise!
Groomsman
Ben is one of Kiyah's younger cousins. Ever since I was first introduced into Kiyah's extended family, Benjamin and I hit it off. From playing basketball in their gym to football outside, Ben and I always have a great time together so when he found out we were engaged he couldn't wait to be a part of the wedding
Bridesmaid
Much like her older sister Gwyn, Susanna was over the moon once she found out that Austin and I were engaged. After the initial disappointment finding out that she wasn't going to be a flower girl, the overexcitement she has to becoming a junior bridesmaid has been so fun. Susanna has always been so fun to be around, she lights up any room she walks into, she was even the one to pick out my wedding dress!
Groomsman
Alistair is another one of Kiyah's younger cousins. Alistair and Ben are quite the dynamic duo, great brothers, and friends to one another. Whatever Benjamin does, Al is not far behind trying to emulate him so when asked if he could be our ring bearer, we answered with "how about a groomsman? Safe to say he was excited to be up there with me and his big brother.
Flower Girl
Amaya has been my mini me for as long as I can remember. Since her dad (my first cousin) lived with us, Amaya and I were together 24/7, always doing crafts or baking something. I was there for her first steps, now she is walking before me down the aisle!
