Kiya & Corin met briefly at Meade Senior High School and reconnected at a house party in 2015. You might think the rest was history but it was much more complicated. They dated other people, determined to maintain a friendship that blossomed to the level of best friends. During COVID-19, they both realized how unpredictable life could be and ended up single at the same time. Kiya was determined to maintain a friendship because she didn’t want to lose Corin in her life. During a five hour long conversation from night into the morning they weighed the pros and cons. The pros significantly outweighed the cons so they decided to try dating. Corin will never let anyone forget how Kiya almost, “Blocked her blessing!”

It was a dark and stormy night…actually it was pretty nice outside and Kiya’s lease was almost up at her luxury apartment in Rockville. After staying at each other’s place two weeks at a time they were inseparable and very much in their honeymoon stage. Corin asked Kiya to move in with him after dating for three months! Kiya agreed and they both lived together happily welcoming two fur babies Sir and then Mister. Life was amazing and after dating for two years, Corin proposed in front of family and friends and of course Kiya said yes!

On August 15th, 2024 at 7:50pm, Corin and Kiya welcomed their greatest blessing yet, a baby girl named Koryn Amila! She is perfect and looks just like her daddy! As their story continues, they can't be more grateful than they are now to celebrate their love amongst family and friends in the Dominican Republic!
