Kindly RSVP by April 19. We look forward to celebrating with you!
We wholeheartedly recommend that you come on Friday, so you have time to arrive calmly, without having to travel in your fancy clothes, and have time to explore the area a bit. As an extra motivation, we are organizing a dinner by Lake Palić on Friday evening, May 9.
If you are flying from other parts of Europe, we recommend flying to Belgrade Airport instead of Budapest, and renting a car. A few tips: You can get up-to-date information on the status of the borders in the Borderwatcher app. Use the smaller border crossings! Strictly adhere to speed limits, as Serbian police particularly love to fine Hungarian cars. Driving and drinking: obviously not recommended, but you won't be fined up to 0.3.
We recommend you to visit Subotica in your free time, and check the Gradska Kuca, the main square, and enjoy some local cuisine at Boss Cafe and Stara Picerija.
In Serbia, the currency is the dinar, sometimes euros - but in restaurants and shops, only dinars are accepted. Many places now accept bank cards, but definitely not in taxis.
