We met studying abroad in Panama for an environmental research program, where we bonded over our love of the outdoors and adventure. What started as an overseas fling soon turned into heartbreak when the semester ended... however, that only lasted about a week before Kat flew to Berkeley to spend the summer with Lito and his family, who graciously let her move in without having ever met before (thanks Pablo and Jingjing!). After a year of long distance, we moved out to California permanently, where we are now the proud parents of a spoiled dog (Luna) and 6 chickens... and we can't wait to welcome you all for the wedding at our new property, which is the perfect mix of city for Lito and country for Kat.

On a foggy evening, we embarked on a "spontaneous" evening hike to see the sunset. Lito told Kat that they were exploring a new trail in the Berkeley hills. Kat, having been suspicious for weeks, wore a cute outfit. Suspicion turned to confirmation when a drone popped out of the bushes. Lito got down on one knee, and the sun broke through the fog for a perfect moment. Of course, we owe special thanks to two of our best friends, Nate and Rae, for hiding in the bushes to film the whole proposal... and for bringing champagne for a celebratory toast!
