FAQs

Question

Will you be postponing your wedding again?

Answer

*Hopefully* no! We can’t wait to celebrate with you and we hope that our celebration will happen (mostly) as planned on October 30. We’ll be keeping tabs on the current situation with the pandemic. We’ll also adjust our plans as needed to abide by state and county guidelines and to protect the health of our loved ones. We’ll be keeping this website updated with any changes. We thank you for your flexibility and understanding!

Question

Should I wear a mask?

Answer

Per current requirements in Santa Clara County, guests are expected to be masked while indoors. Our Welcome Reception and Wedding Reception will be taking place outdoors, where guests can stay masked if they wish. Our Ceremony will take place inside the spacious Mission Santa Clara and we will provide masks for your convenience.

Question

I’m vaccinated, but I frequently interact with people who are unvaccinated (including children under age 12). Is it safe for me to come to the wedding?

Answer

We are working to make our wedding as safe as possible, including requiring all guests in attendance to be fully vaccinated. There is still a chance that COVID-19 can be transmitted among the vaccinated; vaccinated individuals can also carry the virus to unvaccinated individuals. If you frequently interact with unvaccinated individuals, for their safety and yours, we recommend that you consider testing 5-7 days after our event prior to resuming contact with your unvaccinated loved one(s) or staying home for this event.

Question

I’m vaccinated and ready to celebrate the bride and groom, but am nervous about the COVID variants. What are some ways I can keep myself and my loved ones healthy?

Answer

Here are some excellent practices to consider: Wash your hands frequently, use hand sanitizer which will be provided at the event, and wear a mask indoors or when close to others not in your household. We also ask that you are similarly cautious during the 10-14 days before and after the wedding, and consider getting tested before and 5-7 days after the wedding. If you are experiencing any flu-like symptoms before our event, we please ask you to stay home.

Question

Gosh! Why are there so many rules?

Answer

We hear you! We wish our wedding could be a la 2019. However, due to recent COVID developments, we want to keep all of our guests safe, as well as our guests’ loved ones. We hope you won’t be offended and if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to reach out. We look forward to your presence at our wedding celebration, but fully understand and support your decision if you cannot attend. For those of you who cannot attend, hopefully we can meet you in smaller settings over the next year.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

We can only accommodate the individual(s) named on the envelope. Please do not bring a plus one unless clearly designated. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Can I bring my kiddos?

Answer

Although we would love to include your little ones, this celebration is limited to ages 16 and up. Again, thank you for your understanding!

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding and reception?

Answer

Cocktail attire with something warm! Our reception will be outdoors.
