Intimate ceremony 9/21/2024 Extended family and friends are invited to come celebrate with us the following evening on Sunday September 22nd, 2024

Justin was a single bachelor who enjoyed the quiet and simple life. He spent time camping, fishing and weekend bon fires with friends. Whitney was a single mom, not looking for love, who enjoyed a busy schedule. She spent time creating memories with her daughter, spending time at the lake and weekend bonfires with friends. On the evening of Friday, May 19th, 2017 both Justin and Whitney attended a bonfire with friends where they met for the first time. Whitney claims Justin didn’t say a word to her or even acknowledge her, when Justin would claim she didn’t give him the time of day when trying to speak to her. They agree to disagree and the rest is history. They both attended a get together the following evening with hopes they would be there to get the chance to speak and get to know each other, but it wasn’t until Whitney was leaving for the night when Justin asked for her number and to go on a breakfast date the next morning. Justin and Whitney had their first date getting an early breakfast at Virg’s restaurant. Thereafter, they spent several weeks together before becoming an exclusive couple on June 11, 2017.

Justin and Whitney weren’t in any rush to get married. Their concerns for Brayli and her feelings were their top priority. They had spent years focusing on blending their small family while balancing parenthood and dating all while watching Brayli grow up together. As a family, they love to travel. Seeing new places and making family memories is something they enjoy together and as much as possible. One place Justin had never visited was the state of California. It was inevitable that Disneyland was on their list. California holds a special place in Whitney’s heart. One of many nicknames Whitney’s family has for her is “California girl”, as she was born in L.A. After several weeks of searching for the perfect ring, it wasn’t until the day before catching a flight to California that Justin found Whitney’s engagement ring. On the last day of their first family Disney vacation on October 23rd, 2023 in front of Cinderella’s castle, Justin got on one knee and asked Whitney to marry him. She obviously said yes!

Have you ever heard of the seven year itch? Justin and Whitney have been together for seven years as of June, and their ‘seven year itch’ has resulted in taking the next step in their relationship, to get married! (Finally) The family of three feel so lucky to have each other and couldn’t imagine life without one another. Unfortunately, infertility has affected the couples ability to add a member to their small family. Justin and Whitney know how lucky they are to be raising such a wonderful young lady together and look forward to continuing this thing called life as husband and wife.

A common interest the couple share is their love of the mountains, which lead to their wedding theme. While Justin grew up tent camping and hunting, Whitney grew up camping at her grandparents’ cabin they built by hand in the early 70’s. The idea of camping in a tent was incredibly unappealing to Whitney but she did it for Justin, just the one time. Justin and Whitney purchased a camp trailer in 2020 and often spend time in the mountains. They have had to learn patience, problem solving and much more. Overtime, the couple fell in love and made their relationship stronger while being in the mountains. On Saturday, September 21st, 2024 Justin and Whitney will be accompanied by their siblings, parents and grandparents as they say “I do” at their intimate ceremony at the family cabin. The couple is excited to celebrate their special day with extended family and friends the following evening at their reception.
