Thank you!
As an Archaeologist, Anita found a love for Egypt at the age of 16 and visited multiple times throughout her youth (even becoming somewhat conversant in Egyptian Arabic). Her desire has always been to highlight African culture and history, specifically that of Black Africans, and Aswan, Egypt, stood out as an underrepresented destination (and community). In 2009, during Anita's second visit to Egypt, she explored several cities over the course of a month, with her childhood friend, and found her heart in Aswan among Nubians. Frantzy heard this and was on board! He loves Black people, Black culture & history, and more importantly, Anita (lol). Ancestry and heritage also played a big part, with a lot of Anita's family heritage stemming from East & Northwest Africa (specifically the Tuareg) and Frantzy's family heritage descending from Central (specifically the Mbundu), East & West Africa; Northeast Africa seemed like the perfect meeting place in the middle. With these factors, and their desire to frequent the road less traveled, the decision was made!
Once upon a time, not long ago. Where people wore pajamas (pyjamas) and lived life slow... There was a British, Seychellois and Haitian girl named Anita Jeanna Francois, who came from the cold overcast and unforgiving streets of Homerton, East London, UK. Think 'Top Boy,' but in the 90's (at this part of the story play the song Kano - 'Layer Cake' / 'P's and Q's'). *Fun Fact: Anita went to an all-girls secondary school close to the all-boys school that Daniel Kaluuya attended and often saw him after school. Anita was an avid traveler, history buff, and creative at a very early age. After studying a B.A. in T.V. Production, she pursued an M.A. in Archaeology and began her career as a Curator. At 24 she made the bold move to Miami, FL, where she worked several jobs before landing a job at PAMM (Perez Art Museum Miami) and met Frantzy... *Fun Fact: 'Bullet Boy,' one of Frantzy's favorite films (starring Ashley Walters from 'Top Boy'), had a scene that was shot next to Anita's block in London. There was a Haitian-American boy named Frantzy (no middle name) Moreau, who came up from the scorching hot blocks of Homestead, Florida, USA. Think 'Friday,' but in Miami (at this part of the story play Trick Daddy - 'In Da Wind'). *Fun Fact: Frantzy went to the same High School the same year as Trina's cousin, Bobby Lytes, and rapper Mike Smiff, who are all associated with Trick Daddy. He too, was a creative at a very early age as he sketched characters and created stories. Fast forward to a young adult, he became an indie filmmaker (heavily inspired by British films, specifically centered around London's street culture). Interestingly enough, his love for this culture created a deep desire and manifestation for a British woman in his future, specifically a BLACK one (you can ask his friends, his fascination was so deep, he would say 'bruv' and 'innit' to Americans and they'd ask 'in what?'). *Fun Fact: Both Frantzy and Anita share a deep love for street culture and music from the 70s-90s (including Soul, R&B & Hip-Hop). So much so, that they both rapped, sang, and recorded several underground tracks in their youth. Anyway, with this, fate would seem to conjure a moment like no other. May 4th, 2018, while location scouting for a film shoot, a friend of Frantzy's suggested going to PAMM and here's where our love story begins... As he approached the entrance doors, he saw her... Anita (play the 'Doug Funnie's Love Sound' / Tevin Campbell - 'Can We Talk' song here). Where most men would just ask for a date or get a number, Frantzy was drawn to her in a different manner, in which he just wanted her in his life, whatever that looked like. The first words exchanged between them were, "I like your last name," by Anita, and, "Wait?! You're British?!!!," by Frantzy. After a brief conversation about them both being Haitian (which was even more mind blowing to Frantzy) the rest was history! Within the first few months of knowing each other, they visited museums together, explored Miami with fresh eyes, and formed a very deep connection. On September 4th, 2018, Frantzy made it official in front of PAMM by singing one of his songs (and her favourite song of his) to her. *Last Fun Fact: PAMM is also where Frantzy proposed to Anita on December 24, 2022. Throughout the years, they've traveled, matured, laughed, cried, nurtured their inner children, spent time truly learning one another and themselves, pursued their dreams of filmmaking and entrepreneurship together, and have worked their way up to owning businesses. Today, they continue to hustle, but have decided to continue the journey as Husband and Wife... Love, Always. Frantzy and Anita.
