Akiesha & Wale met through Coffee Meets Bagel on December 22, 2017, and had their first date on January 6, 2018. Some people believe that “the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach.” Well, ever since the curry chicken dinner Akiesha prepared on their first date, these two have been inseparable! In fact, they became an official couple just a few dates later. Although there’s never a shortage of things to do while dating in Los Angeles, their weekly date night often consisted of dinner and a movie. Occasionally they also checked out local comedy clubs, got couples massages, went hiking, took road trips, and visited local beaches. The couple got engaged on July 11, 2020, during a COVID-safe weekend “staycation” at an Airbnb in Montgomery, AL. Although Akiesha moved from Los Angeles to Alabama in January 2020, after the wedding the couple intends to make plans to transition out of a long-distance relationship.
