Content with his ministry work and focused on helping others overcome addiction, he wasn’t seeking a relationship. Still, the desire for companionship with a woman of God grew. One day, Malik stumbled across Kisha’s Facebook page and was drawn by her beauty. Not long after that, her post about “New Beginnings” really grabbed his attention. She had shared that although the previous season had been difficult, it was necessary to prepare for the blessings to come. Touched, Malik reached out with a heartfelt message through Messenger. Not receiving a reply, he continued pursuing God’s purpose. Moving On Months later, Kisha felt a strong urge to start fresh and move out of the house she had lived in for the past 20 years. She sensed that stepping into a new chapter meant letting go of the old. While searching for a moving company, she came across a Facebook post for K&M Delivery and Moving—which happened to be Malik’s business. She remembered the thoughtful message he had sent. At that time, she had been going through her own season of healing, recovering from a painful divorce and choosing to focus solely on her relationship with God. Despite the awkwardness, Kisha found the courage to reach out, apologize for not responding, and hire him for the job. Neither realized that God had already begun writing a far greater story. During the move, Malik remained professional, though he quietly admired Kisha from a distance. Something about her spirit deeply resonated with him. Then, an unexpected mishap occurred—one of the movers accidentally damaged a step at Kisha’s new home. Malik was disappointed, fearing this mistake had ruined any chance of something deeper. But instead of making excuses, he took full responsibility and personally offered to fix it. Making the Move Kisha was moved—not just by his integrity, but by his character. When Malik returned three days later to repair the step (leaving it looking brand new), their conversation shifted toward faith. They spoke about God’s grace, life’s unexpected detours, and healing. Before he left, Malik asked if she’d be open to getting to know each other better. Kisha agreed. Their first phone call lasted four hours, and they quickly fell into a rhythm of deep, daily conversations. It felt as if they had known each other for years. Their bond was effortless. They even joked that they couldn’t hang up until they hit their three-hour “quota.” Instant Connection They soon discovered they shared a deep love for Jesus and connected on many levels. They finished each other’s sentences, laughed at the same things, enjoyed the same movies and music, and had similar upbringings and values—especially when it came to faith and family. For their first date, they visited the Bible Museum—an ideal setting for a relationship rooted in God. Afterward, they enjoyed a delicious meal at a Thai restaurant on the waterfront. As they continued to open up, Malik and Kisha realized they had been walking through their own wilderness seasons at the exact same time—Malik in recovery and Kisha healing from heartbreak. Though strangers back then, their journeys had been parallel. In hindsight, they both recognized it clearly: God had been preparing them for each other all along. Moving Forward Since meeting, Malik and Kisha have experienced God’s favor and supernatural provision. On October 26, 2024, while celebrating Kisha’s birthday in St. Martin, Malik asked her to spend forever with him. She said, “Yes”! Now, they are joyfully preparing for marriage, committed to honoring God and walking out their purpose together. Their love story is one of redemption, restoration, and divine timing. What began as a simple move turned into a miraculous move of God.
