While attending UNC, I spotted Kisa working at the dining hall on campus. As I gushed about her to my friends, word got around fast to Kisa's older sister Adriane. She quickly connected the two of us, which led to a date that lasted the entire afternoon at a coffee house where neither of us ordered any coffee.

In the spring of 2019, Selena and I took our first international vacation together to the UK. On our final day on the Isle of Skye, we sat by the rocky shore as I proposed with her grandmother's ring. Selena, having packed my ring as well, got down on one knee at the Fairy Glen shortly after.
