(August Update) We recently stayed here over the summer and treated ourselves to an ocean view room. We were impressed with the quality and status of the amenities and feel comfortable recommending it as a lodging choice! The hotel is just a 5‑minute drive (~2 mi) from Jennette’s Pier, making it easily accessible to the wedding ceremony and reception venue. Room Block Details: The room block consists of standard guest rooms (two queen‑bed or king) street side, ideal for comfort and convenience. Rooms should be set at a rate of $159 per night, no night minimums required. While we don’t have a formal room block here, we’ve personally stayed at TownePlace Suites by Marriott Outer Banks – Kill Devil Hills many times as Marriott Bonvoy members and absolutely love it (it's where we stayed when we got engaged!!). Chesapeake Tunnel Trickiness

Inevitably your arrival time in the Outer Banks for the weekend will depend on 757 traffic. We apologize in advance. If you are unfamiliar with the route, we recommend looking at Google Maps or your traffic platform of choice to see how the I-64 and I-664 tunnels work as options to get across & around Virginia Beach. If you're travelling with young ones, be mindful of the "last exit" signs before the tunnels as depending on traffic progressing through, you can easily get stuck in the car for 30-45 mins if you catch rush hour traffic.

Norfolk is the closet airport to the Outer Banks at about 1 hour 45 mins away from the wedding venue. If you are planning on flying in, please let us know and we'll be happy to help coordinate and talk through travel options that might benefit you and make your trip easier.

Woo RVA! If you're flying into Richmond International Airport, we think that's really cool of you. You'll be near our house and we love our adopted home city! Richmond is a 3-hour drive away from the Outer Banks, but we would again be happy to chat with you to help coordinate any needed supporting travel options to get you to and from the beach comfortably. We can also help you navigate any lodging needs in or around Richmond if you need to break up your travel legs due to your specific schedule.
