Please indicate whether you can or cannot make it to our wedding by clicking on the RSVP tab. We kindly ask that you RSVP as soon as you can, before Friday, June 14.

Question

Answer

The Silk Factory has free parking on-site. The main lot is small but should it be full, extra parking is available at the back, behind the building. The Roundhouse has ample free parking. Please follow signs for the Event Space upon arrival. DON'T DRINK AND DRIVE!!!

Question

Will there be shuttles?

Answer

Yep! For guests staying at the hotels listed in the Travel & Lodging tab, shuttle transportation will be provided to and from the Welcome Dinner & Sangeet on Friday, as well as the Wedding & After Party on Saturday. Departure times are provided in the Shuttle Schedule tab above.

Question

Will the events be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The Welcome Dinner & Sangeet on Friday at The Silk Factory will be indoors. Weather permitting, the wedding ceremony and cocktail hour on Saturday at The Roundhouse will be outdoors. The reception will be indoors.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Friday Welcome Dinner & Sangeet - Indian Traditional, Filipino Traditional, or Cocktail Saturday Wedding - Formal: tuxes, suits, gowns, and midi-length dresses - Summer-colored attire is encouraged, but not required

Question

What are "summer colors" for Saturday's attire?

Answer

You can copy and paste the following link in your browser for some examples: https://www.pinterest.com/kirstmarasigan/summer-color-wedding-attire-inspo/ Think sunset or citrus-inspired palettes: hues of red, orange, yellow, pink, purple, green, and blue. Florals and patterns are great too. Summer-colored attire for your Saturday outfit is encouraged, but not required. We hope you ultimately show up wearing whatever you feel your best in!

Question

What is an appropriate Indian or Filipino outfit to wear for Friday's event?

Answer

If you would like to wear an Indian or Filipino outfit on Friday, below are a few ideas. Indian outfits include: lehenga (top, skirt, and scarf), saree (top and long fabric that gets draped around you), anarkali (long dress worn with pants), or kurta (long top worn with pants). Indowestern styles are also popular. Filipino outfits include: filipiniana (embroidered dress with oversized puffy sleeves), mestiza bolero (sheer embroidered shrug with oversized puffy sleeves), or barong (lightweight embroidered long or short-sleeved shirt worn with pants). Traditionally, filipinianas and barongs are white or cream-colored, which are completely fine colors to wear for Friday's event.

Question

Where can I get Indian or Filipino outfit for Friday's Event?

Answer

While wearing an Indian or Filipino outfit is appreciated, it is not required and you are certainly not expected to purchase anything new. If you're local to New Jersey, there are many Indian clothing stores on Oak Tree Road in Edison and Iselin. Otherwise, you can order Indian outfits online at sites like Pernia's Pop-Up Shop, Lashkaraa, Kalki Fashion, or The Saree Room. Filipino clothing is best found online (unless you're taking a trip to the Philippines soon 😉). We recommend sites like Etsy, VINTA Gallery, The Mestizo LA, Narra Studio, Barong World, and Barong Warehouse.

Question
