Los niños estan invitados?

Answer

Claro que si! Tendremos juegos de mesa y otras actividades. Para los que tienen bebés pequeños, el van de nosotros será disponible para cambiar pañales, darles de comer o dormir un ratito en la cama.

Como puedo llegar allá? Tiene parqueo gratis?

Answer

Manejar es la única manera para llegar. Hay parqueo para 35 carros, y un espacio extra (pero hay que caminar un poco extra). Recomendamos ir juntos con otros en un solo carro si es posible! Todos los carros deben pagar entrade de $20. Pueden pagarlo en una de las siguientes maneras: 1) Pasar por el "Visitor's Center" que está ubicado en la entrada principal del parque para pagar la entrada allá. 2) Bajar la aplicacion llamada "PWFP Fee Pay" y pagarlo en el app o comprarlo por internet aqui: https://www.recreation.gov/sitepass/72420 3) Mandar $20 a Federico (por Zelle) o a Kirsten (por Venmo @kwittkowski) antes del 30 de abril y tendremos un permiso de parqueo listo para cuando lleguen. El permiso es válido por una semana completa. Tambień pueden comprar un permiso anual por $40 si piensan visitar el parque otra vez!

Creo que quiero acampar... donde puedo quedarme?

En una de las cabañas allí en el mismo lugar - y es GRATIS! Pueden llegar a las 4:00 en adelante el viernes y quedar hasta las 12:00 el domingo. Las cabañas tienen luzes, enchufes, y camas para una persona con un colchón. La mayoria de las cabanas son para 4 personas. NO tienen aire acondicionado, calefaccion, baños ni materiales para la cama (almohadas, sabanas, etc). Necesitan traer sus proprios materials para la cama, y ninguna comida es permitida en las cabañas -- porque los osos que viven en el parque pueden abrir las puertas facilmente si sienten olor a comida! Los baños - con duchas - están ubicados en un edificio aparte y todos (hombres y mujeres) comparten el mismo baño. Hay un comedor con una cocina grande (10 quemadores, 3 hornos, refri grande) donde pueden guardar y preparar su comida personal. Hay que llevar sus propios platos, vasos y cubiertos. Pedimos que todos que quedan la noche el sábado nos ayudan a limpiar el domingo.

No, infelizmente el parque no permite perros adentro del area de las cabañas.

Tendrémos vino y cerveza, pero pueden llevar su propio liquor si gustan.

Are kids invited?

Yes! We know that children are an important part of your family. All kids are welcome, and we hope to entertain them with games inside and outside. For those of you with little ones, our camper van will be accessible for your changing, breastfeeding or napping needs.

How do I get there? Is there free parking or a shuttle?

Answer

Driving is the only way to get to the cabin camp. There is a parking lot that holds around 35 cars, and the overflow parking is a bit of a hike away (if you camp overnight, you'll be parking there) - so we highly recommend carpooling! All cars will also need to pay the $20 park entrance fee. You can do this in one of three ways: 1) Visit the Visitor's Center located in the main entrance of the park to pay the fee 2) Buy the pass online either via the "PWFP Fee Pay" app or this website: https://www.recreation.gov/sitepass/72420 3) Venmo (@kwittkowski) or Paypal Kirsten $20 by April 30th and she will have a parking pass ready for you when you arrive. The parking pass is valid for a full week. You can also buy an annual pass for $35 if you think you will visit again

I think I want to camp for the weekend... where can I sleep? How do I eat?

Answer

In one of the cabins on site - for FREE! Arrive anytime after 4:00pm on Friday and leave by 12:00 on Sunday. There are 8 two-person cabins, 24 four-person cabins, and 4 six-person cabins that will be first-come, first-serve (with a few exceptions - contact us if you have specific needs). Cabins have lights, electrical outlets, and twin cots with a mattress. They do not have AC, heat, bathrooms or any bedding. Bring your own bedding and towels, and food is not allowed in cabins — because bears can open those doors if they smell food! Showers and bathrooms are located in a separate, co-ed building that all people staying in that area share. There is a central dining hall with a commercial kitchen and walk-in fridge for you to store and prepare personal food and meals. We'll have some cookware, but please bring your own plates, cups and eating utensils if you plan to cook. We do ask that people staying overnight on Saturday help with the cleanup of the cabin camp on Sunday morning.

Can I bring my dog?

No, unfortunately the park does not allow pets in the cabin camps.

We will have a self-serve wine and beer bar, but you are also welcome to bring your own liquor if you desire.
