Tyler and Kirsten met on their second day of working for the Conservation Corps of Minnesota and Iowa in 2014. Tyler was on the same crew as one of Kirsten's best friend's Kelsey Piepkorn. About a week later Kelsey invited both of them to the Apostle Islands in Superior Wisconsin. They spent the day climbing around in frozen ice caves like kids. The two agreed to keep in touch. Two weeks later, Kirsten's friend Barbara gave them two tickets to a Murder Mystery Dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory. Ty and Kirsten spent the night eating bad spaghetti and talking in bad accents. They agreed that was their first date. The next three years were spent going on adventures, volunteering and becoming best friend's. They even made it through a year and a half of long distance while Tyler worked as a farmer.

Kirsten and Tyler got engaged on April 23, 2018. They currently live in Minneapolis, Minnesota with their two cat's and six chicken's. The two share a dream of eventually moving out of the city, buying a home and starting a farm. They are so excited to be continuing their adventure together in marriage and are thrilled to share their day with close family and friends.
