Christmas Eve at the Mountain Top Inn

Lance and Kirsten had their first date on Christmas Eve and decided to make it their forever anniversary by exchanging vows at 2pm on December 24th, 2024. It was a magical Christmas Eve with fresh snow gracing us at the beautiful Mountain Top Inn in Chittenden, Vermont. Kirsten's sister, Katie, served as the officiant. And Katie's husband Tommy joined as well. We had the ceremony by the fireplace in our cute little cabin and then ventured around the property to take some snowy wedding pictures! The four of us enjoyed a delicious dinner by the fireplace in the dining room that evening. A crisp, bluebird day followed on that Christmas morning and we went for a day of skiing at Killington. In lieu of a wedding we have been saving up for a house and hope to close on Valentine's Day (ironically)! Our dream is to host a backyard party to celebrate with you all in 2025! Happy New Year! We love you all, Kirsten & Lance

Our Story + Fun Facts

We both grew up in the Berkshires. We have some connections but we never met! And though sometimes we wish we met sooner, fate has a way! Lance had nearly given up on dating until he met Kirsten and knew from day one that she was the one. Kirsten moved home after 10 years in Colorado and thought “who am I going to date in the Berkshires?” and then she met Lance! Lance grew up in GB/Sheffield and Kirsten grew up in Lee, 2 towns north. Both have large families that have been in the area for many generations. Lance’s father Don is one of 7, his mother Claire one of 13. Kirsten’s father Dan is one of 8, her mother Laurie one of 2. Talk about lucky to have you all as family! (And talk about how big our wedding would be ha!) We both have backgrounds in plants - arboriculture, vegetable farming, nursery work & landscaping. We share a love for the outdoors! Find us in the kitchen cooking up food from our CSAs, outside swimming, hiking, paddling or skiing, and now working away at our new house - 66 Main Rd Tyringham, MA! We can’t wait to settle in!
