When should I RSVP by?

Do you have any hotel recommendations?
Answer
Residence Inn by Marriott and the Simsbury Inn (our hotel blocks). You can also check out the Simsbury 1820 House. We are also super close to West Hartford and you can definitely find Airbnbs in the area.

What should I do if I don't make it into the room block?

Simsbury and the greater Hartford area have many hotel, motel, and Airbnb options.

Are kids welcome?
Answer
Our wedding is 18+ and by invitation only. We love your kids—we really do. However, we have decided to make this an adults-only celebration. We hope you understand!

Is there a dress code?

The dress code for the Riverview is cocktail attire.

What colors are the bridesmaids wearing?

The bridesmaids will be wearing black.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Trust us we totally get it! Please let us know in your RSVP about any dietary restrictions and we will be sure to share them with the venue. We will be serving dinner buffet style and everything will be clearly labeled. There will also be venue staff throughout the venue that can help to answer any food related questions!

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?
Answer
Yes, we will have a shuttle to and from the Riverview. Please check the "Shuttle Information" tab to learn more about shuttle schedules.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?
Answer
There is PLENTY of parking at the Riverview. Please don't be a goober and drink and drive!

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
Our venue will open to guests at 530 pm! Ceremony will start promptly at 6 pm. Please come 10-15 mins early, grab a drink and hang out before the ceremony.

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?
Answer
Please do not! We have hired an amazing photographer who will capture awesome photos. We would love for you to be fully present during our ceremony with us.

Will you be changing your name?
Answer
Currently, Justin and Kirsten are both undecided on changing their names. Suggestions are open for a whole new last name for the both of us :)

Is there an open bar?
Answer
Yes! Guests will be greeted with a cocktail when they arrive and then the bar will open after the ceremony concludes. There will be two signature drinks, premium open bar, and wine service at the table.
