Water Sports: Our venue sits on an estuary within Muscongus Bay and is a great spot to drop in a kayak or paddle board. Please note that our venue has complimentary use of limited paddleboards, kayaks and canoes for our guests and there are lots of rental options around as well. Camden Hills State Park: Over 30 miles of hiking trails through the woods leading to beautiful coastal views like Maiden Cliff. You can also drive up the auto road to the summit of Mt. Battie for a beautiful of the Penobscot Bay. On a clear day, you can see Acadia National Park. Lighthouses: For all you folks with lighthouse fetishes, we have a few in the area! For a more active viewing, take a 1-mile stroll on a breakwater to the Rockland Breakwater Lighthouse. Or head to Owls Head to see the Owls Head Lighthouse Port Clyde Ferry: Take the ferry to Mohegan Island or take a ferry tour to go look at some rare and beautiful puffins. Sorry lobster fanatics, we will not be serving it at our wedding. Lucky for you, there are a ton of seafood and lobster shacks along route 1 (Famously Reds) and in the surrounding area (Claws, Mcloons etc.). Below are some other options: Rock City Cafe: for you early risers and/or coffee fiends. Scrumptious breakfast and lunch sandwiches and brew since 1992. Primo: 2013 James Beard award winner, female owned and operated farm to table restaurant with the majority of its food coming from the 4.5 acre farm on site. Long Grain: Delicious Thai restaurant located in Camden Maine! We highly recommend the Spicy Night Market Noodle! Adas: Enjoy homemade pasta and pizza and great cocktails in the heart of downtown Rockland.
*Please note state parks require a small fee for entry. Barrett's Cove Public Beach: Small Freshwater Beach located on Megunticook Lake in Camden with a grassy beach and cookout sites. Birch Point State Park: Scenic view of Penobscot Bay. Sand beach and swimming. Crescent Beach: Located in the town of Owl's Head. A small piece of this mostly private rocky beach has been liberated for riffraff like you and me.
Cellar door Winery: Located about 25 minutes outside of Rockland. This winery is home to a beautiful barn with mountain and vineyard views. Odd Alewives Farm Brewery: Nothing we love more than a brewery in the middle of nowhere with good beers and chill vibes. Try the woodfire pizza, you will not be disappointed. Rock Harbor Brewing: Local brews with either a taproom or a brewpub in Rockland.
Downtown Camden and Rockland are the quintessential Maine coastal towns. Take a stroll through both to explore art galleries, locally owned shops, good food and beautiful coastal scenery. In Camden enjoy the views of Camden Hills and the library gardens.
