We met in first grade in Mrs. Auberry's class, but the love for each other began to grow the next year. Through short glances, big grins, taped ankles, and a blue and white puppy with a heart on its nose for Valentine's Day, we became second grade sweethearts. After splitting schools in third grade, we always kept an eye on each other from a distance until we reconnected in college. On July 29, 2021, we went on our first date to see if our feelings from way back when were still the same. They were not.... they were twice as strong. I guess the saying is true that you always come back to your first love. It must be meant to be.
In Destin, Florida, Benton popped the question as soon as they touched the sand on the first day of their first ever trip together. Accompanied by Benton's family, they were able to capture the moment, and Kirsten was completely taken by surprise. During their first moments of enjoying the title fiancé, they had sand between their toes and goofy grins just like when they were kids. To make the ring even more special, the center stone was her grandmother's on her mother's side. I could not ask for a more perfect day to become a bride to be. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our lives with you! See you in Fairfield!
