Question

"What's the easiest way to get information about what's happening at the hotel while we're there?"

Answer

The Hyatt Inclusive Collection app allows you to get information like what time restaurants open to the scheduled entertainment for the day! Once on the app, simply search for our destination, Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana, and you will be greeted by a home screen that can assist you with all of your needs. The app includes features like a Hotel Map; the ability to make live requests if housekeeping, room service or other amenities are needed; information about restaurants, bars, entertainment and everything else you may need during your stay. For your convenience, the download links for the app for both Apple and other devices can be found below: Apple: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/hyatt-inclusive-collection/id1561920692 Other: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=amresorts.app&hl=en_US

Question

"Can I drink the tap water in Punta Cana?"

Answer

No, you should not drink the tap water in Punta Cana. Stick to bottled water with intact seals (your hotel room fridge should be restocked daily) or purified/filtered options provided by the resort. The ice used at Dreams Macao Beach Punta Cana is safe.

Question

"Do I need to pack an outlet converter?"

Answer

No converter needed - Punta Cana (and the whole Dominican Republic) uses the same plugs and voltage as the United States. The rooms also have USB ports built into their outlets.

Question

"How hot will the weather be?"

Answer

Honestly? Most of us are Floridians and we'll be fine. The weather is generally a lot like Florida weather. However, Punta Cana is closer to the equator so do wear lots of sunscreen. Even if it feels like heaven by the pool, that sun is hitting you harder than normal. Many of the buildings are very open concept and the outdoor heat can be felt inside. Dress in breathable vacation/resort chic attire. And, it's not the heat, it's the humidity. If you have curly or frizzy hair we would highly recommend leaning into it or bringing your favorite styling products in travel size and your styling tools because the Dominican humidity will add the kind of volume to your hair that would make models of the 80s jealous.
