Kiro was walking back to his dorm when he bumped into Rebecca and her friends on Rebecca's first day of classes at NYU. One of Rebecca's friends also knew Kiro so they quickly introduced themselves and parted ways. A few months later, Rebecca was studying in the library with some friends when they bumped into Kiro once again. Kiro sat with them and distracted them with funny videos. Rebecca and Kiro became great friends and the rest is history.
Rebecca was hanging out with her old NYU roommate, Chrissy, and was about to get ready for her best friend, Maggie's, graduation party. Chrissy told Rebecca that she had to go to the NYU campus to pick up a textbook. After much persuading, Rebecca finally agreed to get ready early and go with Chrissy to NYU. Once they reached Washington Square Park, an "NYU arts major" asked to draw Rebecca and Chrissy for her "class assignment". While Rebecca and Chrissy sat to be drawn, Rebecca's friends and Kiro were preparing the proposal scene behind them. When the artist was done, she turned the picture she had been "drawing" and it was a sketch of Kiro proposing to Rebecca in front of the Washington Square Park fountain. The artist handed Rebecca a rose with a note. Rebecca turned around and found Kiro standing with a huge smile on his face. She walked down a path of roses and read six letters tied to roses that included all of Rebecca and Kiro's significant dates. He asked and she obviously said yes.
