Yellowstone National Park is about 2.5 hours away from Pocatello! If you are traveling from out of town, you could always add a day or two to soak up the wonders of Yellowstone! Go enjoy the beautiful animals, thermal pools and, of course, Old Faithful. You won't regret it!
The Popcorn Shop is a gourmet popcorn shop which offers over 30 flavors of homemade popcorn. The Popcorn Shop was the location of Tori's first job and she worked there for 6 years. It is a great staple of Pocatello. Head over, try different flavors, and take some home with you.
Buddy's is a quaint family-run Italian restaurant. It is Tori's favorite in Pocatello! Do be aware that the phrase "Buddy's breath" is not a joke! The salad is to die for, but the levels of garlic are not for the faint of heart! You can't go wrong with any option at Buddy's! Saluti!
Pocatello is filled with good, locally owned coffee shops, but Mocha Madness takes the cake! They make some of the best lattes and mochas. Definitely try the gourmet mocha made with locally made Reed's Dairy chocolate milk. It's also a great place to hangout or get some work done. One of the groomsmen, Michael Martin, even works there!
Red Hill is a quick low-key hike on ISU campus. It's very close to the venue and has a beautiful view of a majority of Pocatello. It's lovely to sit up there and watch the world go by. Kirk and Tori hiked up here a few times while living in Pocatello.
If you're looking for a nice relaxing evening, we highly recommend the hot pools in Lava Hot Springs. This is a natural hot spring filled with minerals, but without sulfur (so no odor). It is about a 40 minute drive outside of Pocatello, but it is 100% worth it. The pools are organized by temperature from hot to warm so you can find the perfect pool for you. Definitely worth checking out!
Freshly baked bagels, a variety of toppings, and sandwich options for breakfast or lunch! Tori's favorite is the 3 Little Pigs for breakfast and the Chicken Salad for lunch! Kirk's favorite is a cinnamon bagel with cream cheese for breakfast and the Adobo Club on an Asiago bagel for lunch. They also have a variety of soup options. The Tomato & Basil Tortellini is fantastic!
