Where is Boldt Castle? How long will it take me to get there?

Located in the beautiful 1000 Islands. 3 hours and 40 minutes from Buffalo, NY 6 hours and 30 minutes from Webster, NH 5 hours and 15 minutes from New City, NY 2 hours and 45 minutes from Webster, NY 2 hours 15 minutes from North Rose, NY 1 hour 50 minutes from Sterling, NY 6 hours 20 minutes from Boston, MA A long flight from Colorado, Florida, North Carolina and Texas (Syracuse Airport is the closest airport - 1 hour 30 minute drive)

How formal is this wedding? What should I wear?

Answer

Dressy casual. Shannon will be in a gown (shocking, I know!) and Kirk a suit, but you are welcome to wear whatever you are comfortable in!! Dressier than a T-shirt, more casual than a tux. Hoping “young” Kirk will be in uniform!’ Plan for the weather. We’ll be outside for the ceremony, and under a veranda on the porch in the event of rain.

How early can we get to Boldt Castle?

Answer

As early as they open, which is 10am. Since you need to go by boat to get there, the earliest boat over with Uncle Sam Boat Tours is 10am as well. It is well worth going over early to enjoy this beautiful landmark (and you won’t be worrying about catching a boat over last minute!)
