We're getting married!

We first met in college at the library. During welcome week they hosted a trivia game called, “Are You Smarter Than a Librarian?” I was there with my friend Maurissa (who is now my maid of honor). Kirk said when he first saw me he thought I was beautiful and wanted to talk to me. He approached us and we all began talking. We ended up being on the same team for the trivia game. Our team won, and we received a certificate for free pizza at Old School! Little did I know this day would change my life. We exchanged numbers and that’s when it all began. ♥

When we moved to California we began to do a lot of hiking. Kirk mentioned the idea of going to Mt. Whitney and hike up to Lone Pine Lake. Little did I know this is where Kirk was wanting to propose. He couldn't have picked a better place. Not only was the name of this mountain meaningful, but Mt. Whiney has the most beautiful scenery. Once we made it to Lone Pine Lake, Kirk asked someone if they could take a picture of us. We posed for the picture, and that's when Kirk got down on one knee and proposed. It was beautiful and a day we will never forget. ♥
