Finally, We’re Getting Married!

Our story began in Amarillo Texas in 2014, Kirk and I met online and we fell fast and we fell hard. Kirk asked my dad for permission to date me on Easter 2014 and we spent every waking moment together between college classes and working ever since. Kirk moved away to Ohio for school in February of 2017 and once I finished college in July of 2017 my parents helped me pack up my life and move to a new city. Delphos Ohio was our home together for three years while I worked and Kirk finished and graduated Cum Laude from UNOH in 2019. The year 2020 was a year we all remember Covid hit us hard and little did I know Kirk had our proposal all planned out to happen at my first Dallas Stars home game in Texas where his parents and mine would’ve been present, how special! Covid canceled all of those plans so Kirk improvised and set up a candlelight dinner on our balcony of our third floor apartment where he asked me to marry him, I of course said yes! We then made our second huge move together to Charlotte in April 2020 we lived trying to navigate a new city and new jobs in trying times, this brought us to buying our first home in May 2021. Kirk was paving his way in his career and I was advancing in mine but something was missing for us and we could both feel it. We started going to Tabernacle in early 2022 from an invitation from a friend and we felt something shift in our relationship and hearts. God was working in both of our hearts and minds and we both gave our lives to him on June 7, 2023. Tabernacle and the people there have been so wonderful to us and we couldn’t imagine where we would be without their love and support but more importantly we don’t know where we would be without Gods grace and unconditional love and mercy. God has graced and blessed Kirk’s life and mine beyond measure and we can’t wait to see where he takes our marriage in the future and how He will use us to bring glory to His name. We are thankful for everyone taking the time to read our story, it is not the conventional love story but it is ours and we can’t wait to share our special day with you!
