Nigel, a gentlemen of rough exterior but of compassionate and loving action, has been Kirk's best friend since his senior year of high school. The friendship that was found on the mutual love for the card game magic the gathering, video games, Doctor who, and a love of fantasy and science fiction, has accumulated in a relationship that Kirk would have been lost with out. Even 2 hours away Kirk counts Nigel as one of his most dependable and commendable friends, who has never left him dry, even in his lowest times.

Dustin is Kirk's older brother and oldest friend. If asked in his childhood, Kirk wouldn't have said they where particularly close, but even amiss in of sibling squabbles Dustin has been an inspiration and mentor, whether it be intellectual pursuits, hobbies, interests, or even class of literature. Dustin has motivated Kirk to push his intellectual limits, expanding his vocabulary and academic interest, even regardless of his awareness of his contribution. Kirk to this day credits Dustin for his love of intellectual study, science, and complex theory, acknowledging that if Dustin hadn't been his brother, he would have never had to keep up.
