Head to the terrace for a beer and a brat or for some Babcock ice cream with a great view of the lake.
Known for IPAs but they have other good beer as well.
Larger brewery with a full food menu as well. Fun spot with indoor and outdoor seating. Very close to the venue and Hotel Indigo.
Fun female owned brewery right by the wedding venue.
This distillery makes great cocktails! They specialize in "clear" liquors (e.g. vodka, gin). Outdoor seating on both sides of the building. You can carry in food.
They have great happy hour specials on oysters and drinks.
This is the bar and grill on the first floor of Hotel Indigo. We've never eaten there but we know they have good cocktails.
Small cocktail bar near our house.
Iconic Madison spot. The building is very pretty on the inside and out and it's open to the public most of the time if you'd like to check it out. There are also tons of good restaurants and shops on the square around the capitol building. Head down to there Saturday morning for a massive farmers market with veggies, baked goods, honey, flowers, and more.
We love to take advantage of all the hiking trails in and around Madison. Here are a few of our favorites within a 20-25 min drive of Hotel Indigo: Peasant Branch Conservancy, Governor Nelson State Park, Lussier Family Heritage Center, Capitol Springs State Park, Yahara Heights County Park, UW Madison Arboretum. If you have some more time and want to venture further away for some more hikes let us know and we are happy to provide more suggestions.
