Hawkesdene is a private estate nestled in the Western North Carolina mountains. In late May, temperatures will range from mid 60s-70s during the day and will go down the 40s as night. Here's a list to help you when packing: - Formal attire for wedding ceremony and reception - Active wear and shoes for outdoor lawn games and hiking - Warm clothes for evenings by the fire - Comfy clothes for down time and coffee on the front porch - Ladies, when choosing your footwear, keep in mind there are gravel and grass pathways throughout the property
Hawkesdene cottages are scattered throughout the property. For a detailed grounds map, please visit https://www.hawkesdene.com/grounds/ Cottage assignments will be provided at arrival. Please note that although this is a private property, the cottages will be shared with wedding guests. Andrew and Emily will do their best arranging lodging for guests in the cottages, keeping friend and family circles together.
Although we would love to host everyone, Hawkesdene has a limit on guest count. Please only RSVP for those whose names are on your invitation envelope.
We have two separate due dates -- one for the Hawkesdene room reservation and one for the wedding RSVP. The Hawkesdene reserve by date is February 12, to be confirmed at www.hawkesdene.com/confirmation. The wedding RSVP date is March 26, to be mailed in with the enclosed RSVP card.
As we will reserve your spot for the entire wedding weekend, the price is the same per person regardless of the number of nights you stay. You will be welcomed to you cabin whenever you choose to arrive!
