Question

Where is this thing actually taking place?

Answer

~45 mins up a gravel/dirt road to No Business Mountain. The location is accessible by vehicle, and we'll carpool the morning of the wedding. It's rustic as far as amenities go (see: pit toilet a short drive away), but has great views of the surrounding landscape. We'll provide toilet paper, water, and other basic amenities as well. Let us know if you have any requests/needs!

Question

How are we getting to the wedding site?

Answer

We will coordinate carpooling and plans at the welcome dinner, and Kirby will hand out schedules to help.

Question

Wedding Info

Answer

Wedding will take place around 8:30am on Saturday, and we'll follow that with a picnic breakfast/lunch. This will include breads/cheeses/fruit/snacky items/cake/drinks (non-alcoholic + alcohol) in a charcuterie style spread. Bring anything else you may want. After the wedding we hope to rent kayaks/canoes on Lake Cascade (near our houses) for a couple hours. Expect loose wedding activities from 7:30 am (wedding set up) to 5pm or so. Schedules after the wedding takes place will not be strict. We're hoping for a relaxed, happy, and memorable day.

Question

Where will we stay?

Answer

Please refer to the "Travel" link at the top of the page, and email or text us with any questions! We'll send out more details soon!

Question

Is there a limit to the number of guests?

Answer

Yes, we have a limit based on our US Forest Service event permit.

Question

Is there a rehearsal dinner?

Answer

We will have a "welcome dinner" the night before at the "friends" house, though it will not be a formal rehearsal :) Expect pizza, side salad, and some snacks. Bring anything else you may want.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

The color scheme is "earth tones," and will follow a semi-formal dress code (if you have questions about what that is, don't ask us -- we still don't know). Think muted colors like: light blue, dusty pink, florals, light green, light brown, soft oranges, etc. For men, suits are not required, but collared shirts + dress pants are nice. For ladies, dresses or pantsuits/jumpsuits are great! It might be windy/wet/rocky/grassy, so just keep that in mind when selecting clothes and shoes. See this link for more info on color scheme: https://pin.it/6J1Odhuu4

Question

Are you going on a honeymoon??

Answer

Yes! We're heading to Alaska for 10 days in early August. Send us recommendations if you have any! If you want to help fund our trip, see the "Registry" page!

Question

What is the kayaking situation after the wedding?

Answer

We will plan to be at Poison Creek Campground area at 1pm for kayaking/paddleboarding. Sam and Kirby will reserve the rentals, so please see the email from 5/7/25 about RSVP-ing to that! Here's the website: https://www.inntopia.travel/ecomm/shop/activities/22752951/en-US/?startdate=2025-06-11&adultcount=1&childCount=0&productsupercategoryId=6&_gl=1*12nigih*_gcl_au*MjA0NDY0ODcxMi4xNzQ0NTg3MDgy*_ga*MTQ4NzE0NTA5My4xNzQ0NTg3MDgz*_ga_P6006DL5XE*czE3NDY2MzY2NTIkbzIkZzAkdDE3NDY2MzY2NTIkajYwJGwwJGg4NzUyMzUxNTU.

Question

What is the expected temperature for the weekend?

Answer

Expect low 80's in Donnelly (it will feel very warm in the sun, and chillier than 80 in the shade). Expect about 10 degrees cooler at the wedding site, so think upper 60's/low 70's.
