When Hayden was in 4th grade, a soccer teammate showed her a yearbook photo of Kirby Rice and confessed she had a crush on him. Hayden remembered the cute face and unique name, never imagining she’d one day have a crush on him too. True story! Years later, we officially met the way many 14/15-year-olds do—by adding each other on Snapchat. We quickly discovered we lived in the same neighborhood and began biking to each other’s houses to hang out—jumping on the trampoline, shooting hoops, and going to the Dancing Waters pool. When Kirby decided to transfer to Cretin-Derham Hall (definitely not because Hayden went there 😉), we became inseparable and started dating. From school dances to sports games to summers spent at the cabin, our bond only grew stronger. College took us in different directions—Hayden to Texas, Kirby to the University of Minnesota. But after a year, Hayden transferred to the U of M too (okay, this time it was definitely for Kirby). We had a blast together in college, and our relationship continued to thrive. A couple of years post-grad, we took a big leap and moved across the country to San Diego where we immediately bought a wiener dog named Clover. She has brought us a ton of laughs over the last two years! We recently moved back closer to home and have been loving downtown Hudson. We are so excited to be close to friends and family again - especially our nieces, Rooney and Maxine! There’s so much to look forward to—and we can’t wait to celebrate our love with all of you this September. Cheers!
