Slow and Steady Wins The Race 🏃‍♂️💨. Matt and Amber met in high school in 2008 during track and field practice. Matt was a senior and Amber was a freshman, so naturally there was a code to abide by; that seniors and freshman should not mingle. At the end of the year, Matt gave Amber a wallet-sized senior photo and that was the last they heard or seen of each other for nearly 10 years (these were the days prior to social media folks)....

Fast forward to 2016, Amber made the bold move to friend request her high school crush... This was the rekindling of an old flame ❤️ 🔥. Over the next year or so, they bonded over laughing at funny memes, liking each other's photos and a common love for John Mayer. Matt was visiting home for his sister's wedding the summer of 2017. The two of them went on a date and talked, laughed, reminisced on old times. So much time had past, yet, it almost felt as though no time had past at all. They both felt something that they knew was real. Matt returned to Texas and shared his excitement with all of his friends. The way God would have it, Matt received a job offer back in NJ and the rest is history.....

We went out for a regular date night in Jersey City where we would frequently date and grabbed coffee. It was there the proposal happened, he was down on one knee with a ring!
