Williamsburg is home to William & Mary, Kirsten's undergraduate Alma Mater. Before her mother passed, Kirsten discussed getting married at the Wren Chapel (aka the Wren Building) on campus one day. Kirsten's mother loved W&M as much as Kirsten did (if not more) and this is our way to honor Kirsten's mother. Kirsten is on the Alumni Association's Board of Directors, and she and David frequent Williamsburg a few times each year.
We will be heading to the Cayman Islands in 2019! December/end of the year is a busy time work wise for both of us, so we plan to wait until January/February 2019. We plan to swim with sting rays and snorkel in the beautiful blue waters. Please send any recommendations that you may have!
In colonial times, fireworks and the firing of guns were symbols of major events. Grand illumination is a special day in Colonial Williamsburg, where you can stroll the historic area and view the unique holiday decorations. This year it is the Sunday after our wedding. There will be a fireworks display from the Capitol, the Magazine, and the Palace. Admission is open to the public and tickets are not required. 4pm-7:30pm Please let us know if you plan to stay and enjoy Grand Illumination. We will still be in town and would love to continue the celebrations together!
