We're getting married!

Just when Kiran was this close to deleting every dating app on her phone, Neekesh finally caved to his parents’ TED Talk titled, “Beta, sign up for Dil Mil.” And somehow, in that perfect moment of timing (fate… or parental pressure), we found each other. Our first conversation started with one of Neekesh’s famously random questions — the kind that makes zero sense but somehow keeps you talking. One random question turned into another, and suddenly we were having real, effortless conversations that felt different from anything either of us had experienced. Kiran eventually wanted to take things off the app, but being the shy girl she absolutely is, she told him the app was “glitching” instead of just asking for his number. Neekesh, in true form, suggested restarting the app… then the phone… possibly her entire life. Only then did he finally catch on and give her his number. So a girl with an iPhone texted a boy with a green bubble — nearly giving him cardiac arrest — but she kept him around because he made her laugh. And from there, texting turned into calling every day, which turned into Neekesh booking a flight to meet her in person. That first meeting? Neekesh = nerves + awkward jokes. Kiran = still giving him a chance. She could’ve turned the car around after the first joke, but she smiled, she laughed, and somehow… we just fit. A few visits later — each one making it harder to say goodbye — we knew this was it. Long drives, suitcase zippers, and “Did you pack everything?” moments eventually turned into a decision to build a life in the same place. And now here we are — planning a wedding, creating a home, and laughing every day about how our whole love story started with one swipe, one “glitch,” and one very anxious green bubble. All proving that sometimes fate steps in… and sometimes parents really do know what they’re talking about.
