It started when we worked together at the Placerville Pizza Factory. I thought he was very attractive but was too old for me. Then my sister, Kayla, said that she graduated high school with him and he was only a couple years older than me. I remember the first small talk we had, Spencer said "nice shoes." I blushed and said "they're boots," I did my best to flash him my boots while working. For first two years we spent as much time together as possible. Going on weekend day adventures to local lakes and rivers doing kayaking, paddle boarding and hiking. Then came the full time jobs, always busy but found the time to spend together. 2020 we moved in together and learned each other all over again, what our rules were, how to live together and what we love the most about each other. In 2017 we went on an adventure to Hope Valley, CA during winter time. I wanted to show him Hope Valley and Sorensen's resort, I love their cafe. We also spent the time walking the land all over Hope Valley. We found this perfect tree and decided to dedicate our love with this tree. We have gone every year to carve the years end into our tree. This tree is where he proposed. October 21, 2022, I knew something was up that day. We planned to go and we brought our niece Leia with us. The three of us had breakfast at Sorensen's, as is tradition now, then we went to our tree. I was busy with Leia showing her the pine cones and playing in the snow. When I looked behind me, he was down on one knee. Tears in his eyes, he asked me to marry him. I, crying, said yes. Happy crying together, he put the ring on my finger. We asked Leia if she wanted to take a picture of us, she did take a photo, but it was a selfie of her adorable face. We finished our photo; hugged and headed home. We have been through a lot together in the passed six years, we would never do it with anyone else. We even celebrate 7 years on August 2 this year.
