Throughout our first year at Palm Beach Atlantic University, we had a few mutual friends. After winter break, our friend groups connected more and so did we. After many fun group hangouts we felt that God was drawing us closer together. We started to spend more time together as friends, but it wasn't long until that friendship sparked into something more. Since then, our relationship has truly felt like a gift from God. This was only the beginning of our story, and we can't wait for the next chapter to begin!

The day began when Mathis cooked me breakfast as I was finishing some last minute assignments. Later on, we went out to lunch and then for a walk downtown. It was a beautiful day and we both wanted to enjoy the rare non-humid Florida fresh air. We grabbed coffee and donuts as we continued our walk down to a lake. It was a very crowded Saturday afternoon there, so Mathis suggested that we head back. Mathis slyly redirected us to a quiet and secluded courtyard where he asked me to be his forever. It was the perfect start to our engagement!
