THE ALL KNOWING BESTIE!! She corrects me when I am wrong and acknoledges when I'm right. At first the road was bumpy because I was "mixed company" ahahahahahah!! But our friendship is so deep that no one else will EVER understand. She is truly someone I can lean and lean and lean and lean on and she will not break! A woman of integrity, strength and wisdom. Always uplifting and encouraging when I’m being super emo. She’s who I have the most fun with. I mean, the amount of inside jokes we have alone will make anyone jealous.

They say cousins are your first best friend and I would have to agree. Ashley and I have been thick as thieves as long as I can remember. Out of all the cousins on my mom’s side, she’s closets in age. I would spend almost every summer in the Virginia with her until 16. We had some good ass summers! She’s my go to for all things travel and plus size fashions. She was the first to know the wedding date because I had to make sure I booked her first! She stay on the next flight out.

My bud! She introduced me to my core group of friends, The Clique. She has shown me true friendship from the beginning and has never wavered. She’s my prayer partner that never judges even when I am wrong. Finding out we were cousins solidified our bond. I’ve been to all of her major accomplishments & brag on her constantly. I’m in awe of the woman she is and the things she’s overcome. She continuous to show me strength and perseverance. Thank you for being a friend to the end Dr. Rhodes!!

My one and only Sister/Cousin! We are 10 years apart so when she came to Louisiana for the summer, I used to keep her during the day. I would let her do whatever she wanted...still do! I could be brutally honest with her about everything. Even though I don't have a degree of my own, she listened to me as I talked to her about college life, study habits and boys. She made me so proud graduating from Grambling. She is probably the only person that looks up to me and I don't even know why. Keep inspiring me ShayShay!

My AKTor!! Can you believe we didn't like each other in middle school? We knew each other from the beauty shop because we both got them good press and curls but we were not friendly LOL! We met on better terms when Quatre introduced us. We just clicked! When we are together there is never a time we aren't laughing and carrying on. Best moment was ATL: gold dress! Ha! This day would not be complete without her & some dramatics!

The mother of the Clique. Mekisha did not attend CMM so when Quatre introduced me to her, it was a clean slate. Well, on my end at least. The girls of Galilee were not too fond of me. LOL! That soon changed as the friendship grew. A bit reserved but down for the cause. She has some stories about me that we’re taking to the grave thanks to attorney-client privilege.

I love you sister! Shunti says that after every time I see or talk to her. We literally grew up together. Always together too, at school and church. My favorite memory is from our college years. I was hosting an event at UNO & I don’t remember asking her to sing in it. I just remember signing her up! My sis showed up & showed out!! She sung Speechless by Beyoncé. Weird, but when I hear that song, I think about her performance! LOL!
