Wekiwa Springs
Need some fun in the sun? Look no further than Wekiwa Springs state park. You can take a dip in the natural spring, but be warned, it's 72 degrees year round! They also have kayaks and canoes for rent if you want to paddle up stream to see some Florida wildlife.
Enzian Theater
Cult classics, quirky documentaries and Oscar bait modern releases are the usual players at The Enzian. Enjoy a full service experience inside the charming movie house, or a bite under the Florida Live Oaks at the Eden Bar for a great night of film and fun.
Lake Eola
Known for the swans who call it home and its neon fountain, Lake Eola park is in the heart of downtown Orlando. It's an easy walk to the bustling neighborhood of Thornton Park which is home to locally famous burger bar Graffiti Juncktion and penguin themed ice cream shop, The Pop Parlor.
Plant St. Market
Anchored by the Crooked Can Brewery taproom, Plant Street Market is the gateway to downtown Winter Garden. With coal fired pizza, local Orange Blossom honey, a juice bar and artisan crafts, there is plenty to see (and eat!) in the food stalls inside. Outside there is plenty of seating to enjoy the nice weather and friendly community in this charming neighborhood.
The Wine Room
Wine by the taster, class or goblet is all available in the Wine Room in the elegant Winter Park neighborhood. You can enjoy a charcuterie plate in the cozy stone lined tasting rooms, or stop into one of the nearby restaurants for a fabulous dinner.
Lakeridge Winery & Vineyards
Florida is not known for grapes, but the folks at Lakeridge Winery have found a way with the heat tolerant Muscadine varietal. Tours and tastings are offered daily at no charge (But a cash tip for your tour guide/bartender is recommended) where you can learn about this 75 acres of wine country in the heart of the state.
Orlando Magic
While the Magic may not have been stellar the past decade, the Amway Center is an incredible venue to watch a basketball game. They take on the Greek Freak, Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Milwaukee Bucks at 5pm on Saturday the 8th.
Dr. Phillips Center for Performing Arts
Opened in 2014, the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts welcomes Broadway touring productions into the state-of-the-art Walt Disney Theatre. Our wedding weekend is no different as the Tony Award winning show Aladdin is in residence with matinee and evening performances on both Saturday and Sunday.
