Best Man
Jarred isn’t just my cousin; he’s basically my brother. With only three months between us, we’ve been side-by-side from the very beginning. We tackled life’s big milestones together—from mastering potty training, to dominating the same Little League teams. Whether we were building forts or battling over whose turn it was to pitch, Jarred has always been the guy I could count on. It only made sense that he’d be standing by my side for this big milestone, too.
Matron of Honor
Briana is my sister, best friend, and my lifelong role model. With a 6.5-year age gap, we weren’t always in the “best friend” phase—especially when I was “borrowing” (okay, stealing) her clothes, sassing back as a pre-teen, and relying on her for school pick-ups. But she’s always been the person I look up to most—whether it’s following her into an HR career, waiting a minimum of six years before considering our partners husband material, or hoping to one day be as incredible of a mom as she is. I truly couldn’t imagine this day without Bri by my side, and I’m so lucky to have her as my matron of honor!
Groomsman
Alex was my other brother growing up. We made a lot of memories together, many of which seem to involve us and trees… and not in a good way. One of the most memorable was when we thought it’d be hilarious to wear our sweatshirts backward with the hoods up. Naturally, we ran straight into a tree, and I laughed so hard I peed my pants. Another time, we crashed my bike while he was riding on the back pegs—into yet another tree. Through all the laughs, crashes, and chaos of life, Alex has always been family in every sense of the word. I couldn’t imagine this day without him.
Bridesmaid
Tess is, without a doubt, my longest-standing friend ever. (Seriously, I’ve known her longer than just about anyone outside of family!) Now, imagine being across-the-street neighbors with one of your best friends—pretty incredible, right? Tess is the mother of our group, always ready with the best advice and never afraid to tell us when we’re being completely ridiculous. But don’t let that fool you—she also knows how to live her best life. Whether it’s vacays, self-care days, or nights out, Tess does it all right. We’ve been through years of shenanigans and every life stage together, so there’s no way I could imagine this day without her by my side!
Groomsman
I met Nathan in college through some mutual friends, not knowing he’d end up becoming one of my closest friends. Over the years, we’ve made countless memories, including the year we lived together in San Francisco. Sure, we butt heads occasionally (probably because we’re a little too similar), but that’s just part of what makes our friendship so strong. At the end of the day, we always know we’ve got each other’s backs. I’m grateful to have Nathan by my side for one of the biggest days of my life.
Bridesmaid
Kaya has always been my bold, firecracker of a friend who quite literally sang and danced her way into my life! Have you ever met an 8-year-old who could belt out "Luck Be a Lady” with the absolute best Frank Sinatra impression?! Well, that’s Kaya! We met in third grade and became instant friends. Over the grade school years, there was always a “third” girl in our crew… but they never really lasted. Every year, someone new would come and go, but Kaya and I always stuck together. From pre-teen awkwardness to angsty teen years, college party days, and now figuring out adulthood, we’ve been through it all! I couldn’t imagine this day without her right up there with me!
Groomsman
James is the dad of our friend group—though, ironically, he might also be the goofiest. We first met when I was still in high school and he was already in college, and I’ve looked up to him like a big brother ever since. James has a huge heart and was a huge source of support for me when I started college. I was honored to stand by his side as a groomsman at his wedding back in 2019, and it feels like full circle to have him standing by mine.
Bridesmaid
Michelle and I met in our business fraternity in college (the infamous DSP!) and we’ve both said that we just clicked from the start. As you get older, it’s not always easy to find a friend who shares similar values and ways of approaching life. Back in the day, we could be toasting with 4Lokos on a Friday and tackling business school/our corporate jobs by Monday, but what’s always stood out about Michelle is the way she makes time for the people she cares about. From our Golden Gate Park walks when I lived in SF to our long-distance FaceTime catch-ups now, I’m so grateful for her friendship. So looking forward to having her standing up there with me on this big day!
Groomsman
I’ve known Ryan since we were kids, growing up together in church. He was always the cool guy who played soccer and would show up with a fresh haircut, complete with lines shaved into the side of his head. We didn’t talk much through high school and college, but fate brought us back together when we both ended up working at Expedia in 2019. Since then, our friendship has only grown stronger, especially after we joined the same, very serious, recreation basketball team. We even won a championship together—huge deal (just kidding). Ryan’s always been there when I need him, and I’m glad to have him by my side for this special day.
Bridesmaid
Emily is not just my cousin—she’s been my built-in bestie from the start! Remember how I said Briana and I weren’t always best friends? Well, that’s where having a cousin just a year apart comes in handy. When you’ve taken baths together as toddlers, you know it’s real… except I hated sharing a bath with Emily because she didn’t like hot water (seriously, who does that?!). Through every life stage, Emily has been my go-to for gabbing and gossiping at family get-togethers, and we’ve always cheered each other on. Now, she’s a full-on mom and fiancée, and I look up to her more than she knows for all that she juggles. I’m so grateful to have her by my side on this special day!
Officiant
TJ and I (Kira) hadn’t even met in real life before agreeing to live together—shoutout to our mutual close friend, Keenan, for making that happen! But since moving in together in 2019, we’ve been stuck in each other’s lives ever since. From bunking together during deep COVID-era—where yes, TJ baked sourdough bread, and yes, I forced us to do an Easter egg hunt inside our apartment—to countless memories since, I’m so happy TJ followed Brandon and me up to Seattle. Now, TJ and I (Brandon) didn’t just become close by default because I was “the boyfriend visiting” (though that’s how it started). Over time, we built our own friendship—hitting the slopes at Stevens, hiking the Cascades, and sharing wisdom as proud Plant Daddys. I’m grateful that TJ is always down for an adventure, and just as thankful that Kira has someone to drink endless wine with while watching Disney Channel Originals. There’s truly no one better to officiate our wedding—couldn’t imagine anyone else marrying us!
