Andrew was born and raised in Vancouver, Washington, and went on to attend Washington State University in Pullman. Kira grew up in Germany before moving to Vancouver after completing college in London, UK. Their paths crossed while they were both working at Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Andrew interviewed and later worked with Kira in Longview, Washington, where they became colleagues and friends before their relationship turned into something more. Shortly after, Andrew and Kira went on their first date—and have been inseparable ever since. They now live in Redmond, Oregon, with their beloved pet bird, Chicken.
